Treating Heads and Home

What You Will Need For Treatment
∙ Super Lice Saver ™ Soothing Treatment Shampoo or Soothing Mousse.

∙ Super Lice Saver ™ Terminator Lice Comb.

∙ Super Lice Saver ™ Treatment Stay Away Mint (as needed for detangling).

∙ Four Hair Clips

∙ Paper Towels

∙ Small or Medium Sized Towel

∙ Medium to Large Container or Bowl Filled with Water

Treatment Directions
1. Cover Eyes. Apply to clean dry or damp hair. Massage into hair, scalp, behind ears, part lines and nape of neck, fully covering with treatment. Comb through hair for complete coverage. Use Stay Away Mint Spray as needed to help with tangles if needed throughout the process. Let product sit on hair for 15 minutes. Do not rinse.

 2. With product in hair, part hair down the middle and separate  into four sections. Clip three sections and leave the first section for treatment down. Use a paper towel to protect the treatment side from the untreated ones in the clips. Using small thin sections comb through the hair thoroughly with Super Lice Saver lice and nit comb. Comb each thin section four ways, up and down, also side to side. Starting from the scalp all the way to the ends of the hair. Clean the comb in between each section by scraping it in the water and wiping it with a paper towel to remove any lice and nits. Lice love to hang out behind the ears, part lines and the nape of the neck, so pay extra attention to those areas. When finished with side one, separate it from side two with a clip and repeat steps on side two.

 3. When finished, check hair once more with Super Lice Saver lice comb to insure all lice and nits have been removed. Treatment can be repeated if needed. For best results leave product on hair for two hours. Lice can hold their breath for that long. Cover eyes and rinse normally.

What To Do At Home
Treating your home is simple! Many people go overboard causing unnecessary stress. Remember, lice do not jump or fly. Also, lice can only live off the head for 24 hours.

1. Check the whole family. Chances are if one person in the house has lice, there may be another. You’ll also want to check any extended family members as well, like a second home or place the person with head lice spends time at on a regular basis. Head lice is spread by head to head contact (including the ever popular selfie), sharing items that are used on the head, like brushes and hats or placing your head on a surface that has been exposed to head lice, such as a car seat or couch.

 2. Hairbrushes, combs, hair ties, headbands, etc. should be placed in a ziploc bag and put into the freezer overnight.

 3. Wash bedding in hot water and dry on high heat.

 4. Take any stuffed animals that may have come in contact away for 48 hours or wash and try with hot temperatures.

 5. Take items that have recently been used such as hats, towels, jackets, hoodies, shirts and wash and dry with hot temperatures.

 6. Vacuum material surfaces such as couches, chairs and car seats. For leather, vinyl, plastic, simply wipe down the surface. Lice have claws like a crab and cannot hang onto leather, vinyl or plastic. As an extra preventive mist surfaces lightly with Super Lice Saver Stay Away Home Spray. Always test a small area before spraying entire surface.

What To Do When Lice Free
Head lice leave a scent on an infested person’s head for 90 days, inviting other lice to come hang out on that head. Use Super Lice Saver Stay Away Mint Spray daily as a preventative to aide against re-infestation.

 1. Check any family members who have been treated nightly. Head checks should be done on clean, dry hair. Use Super Lice Saver comb to go through hair in small sections, looking at each section from the scalp to the end of the hair, in case any nits, which could also be empty egg shells, have been pulled down the strand of hair and not fully removed. Use this regimen for 7 to 10 days, removing any nits that may have been left over during treatment. If any evidence of live lice is found, it is safe to repeat treatment.

 2. Long hair should be kept in a high ponytail, braids, or a bun to help keep lice away. For extra protection, spray with Super Lice Saver Stay Away Mint Spray, which can be used as needed throughout the day.

 3. Use Super Lice Saver Soothing Shampoo as a preventative and safe to use as a daily shampoo, both to help keep lice away, while soothing and conditioning hair with a special natural sulfate free blend of oils and enzymes to calm any leftover cases of the itches. Itching can last up to two weeks after being lice free.

 4. Super Lice Saver Stay Away Mint Spray is a natural preventative to be used daily by misting over the hair, nape of neck, and behind ears. Also, spray daily on backpacks, hoodies, hats, and helmets before use. Use before school, camp, play dates, birthday parties, sports, sleepovers, etc.

 5. Tell your child’s friends. We know it’s not the most comfortable conversation to have, but lice happens to most people at some point. It’s important to contact any friends, family, schools…anyone that your child has been recently in contact with so they can get checked. This helps to ensure that your family won’t have to deal with getting lice all over again too!
